The ERS board has adopted the FY 2016 actuarial valuation for the ERS pension fund. Increasing State and employee contributions to 9.5 percent has reduced the projected funding period from infinite to 35 years.

The election process for a seat on the ERS board begins Jan. 2. The election is for the seat currently held by Texas Department of Transportation CFO Brian Ragland, whose term ends Aug. 31, 2017.
